This is a centrally-sponsored scheme that covers all school children studying in Classes I-VIII of government, government-aided schools.
The scheme allows only ration card holders under National Food Security Act to collect the quota of food grains from any fair price shop in India.
Other states that have seen the highest transactions include Haryana with 27,875 transactions and Maharashtra with 22,323.
The distribution under the ONORC scheme is implemented through all e-PoS enabled fair price shops in Delhi for all the migrant beneficiaries
